Over the next few days, I will be working in any spare time I have to update my site (which has already begun), add new artwork to the portfolio, add new design work to the design page, and new items to my shop. I will also begin tweeting and updating facebook more often. Hopefully you will take a look at what I’m up to.
ARTillery Artist Talks
The fun folks at ARTillery are organizing a series of artists talks for people exhibiting at Arts in the Alley. I will be speaking at the first one and would love for you to come.
Couchfire #2 in the Decade in Review
This year, to celebrate the end of the decade, the Columbus Alive posted top ten lists for several different categories. The Couchfire Collective and our activities made number two on the list. Personally, I was both surprised and honored when I found out. Helps me realize that the efforts we put forth don’t go unnoticed… and it made me remember that lots of good people have done alot of good work to promote the City of Columbus as a vibrant arts city. Couchfire has been an amazing experience and each person that has been a part of the group has contributed something to the dynamic that makes it go. Thank you to everyone who has ever been a part of the group and to everyone that sees how teamwork and fortitude can make a impact on a community.

Best of 2009 – New Narratives

I found out just recently that a show at the Verne Riffe Center I was part of over the summer, New Narratives, was chosen as one of the top twelve shows of the year in Columbus by the local paper, the Columbus Dispatch. The show was curated by Dominique Vasseur of the Columbus Museum of Art, organized by Mary Gray of the Riffe Center, and included several notable Ohio artists. I was proud to be part of such and awesome show and glad to see it mentioned.
